January 2020 finds us happily housesitting south of Auckland in Pukekohe, which was our home town for 16 years before we started our nomadic housesitting lifestyle.

Whether at home or abroad we thoroughly enjoy housesitting so beginning 2020 minding young Kas (Kassie) the fun loving Jack Russell Terrier & Mochi the purry cat is a great way to start our year.

Happy New Year from Pukekohe, New Zealand

With our family and friends nearby we are also making the most of catching up while enjoying meals with friends, coffee dates (Liz) and time on the tennis court (Pete) when we’re not dog walking or taking care of house sitting duties.

Lovely evening walk at Hunua Dam

We are here…….

Peter has also stepped back in to work at his old workplace (Franklins) in a part-time role (that’s not always so part-time…) to help out for six months, which suits them and us perfectly – it keeps Pete out of trouble and helps the cash flow for our next stint in the UK.

I am making the most of granny days while we are staying near our family. Our grandson adores playing with Kas and cuddling Mochi on the days he comes to hang out with Gran.

And after a pretty average December it seems like finally the weather is beginning to settle in to hot sunny days just like summer in NZ is meant to be…..

Rooseville Park – favourite walking spot, especially when     the weather is so hot!
    Great Mates. Lead me on!
